Firm one of the best in expertise and quality of tax opinions.

In my opinion, firm placed premium in pushing work product to client in minimum time compared to importance of getting legal advice right. Firm also does not pay market for associates. Rob can also be difficult to work with.

The level of experience and challenging cases you'll have the lead on - even at a junior level is incredible. The partners will trust you until you give them a reason now to and that provides great opportunities to grow, mature, and challenge yourself which might not be available at larger firms.

Not a good place for you if you need constant management, supervision, or mentorship. It's a small shop with an intense workload. The managing partner needs you to help manage up.

The issues are interesting, the work comes and goes at your pace, and billables are reasonable. The firm rewards a good work ethic and quality work product.

Overall, great place to learn and work.

Project autonomy, variety of work, being able to manage your caseload. The expected hours are within the normal range for peer firms. Good work and reliability are rewarded by management.

As you will be lateraling into this role, you will be expected to knowledgeable in substantive tax law. The hours during busy season can be brutal.
