What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Adapt to the new age before your historic firm becomes history.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Look to the Future

What did you not like about this institution?
This upper management is stuck in its old school ways. As they head out for retirement, or bring in young attorneys like myself, they really don't like to hear input for new innovative ways to go about their projects. They just expected me to know how they want things run as they did decades ago.

I've Greatly Enjoyed This Firm on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
This firm needs to consider offering benefits to their employees. It may be expensive, but more employees will want to stay if they have the proper insurance.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I've been at this firm for 4 years now and have to say it is one of the best places to work. The manager is super friendly and approachable and treats their employees as if they were family. People get along great with one another and there is hardly any conflict.

What did you not like about this institution?
My only gripe with this firm is that there is no health insurance offered. I know it can be expensive for business owners to pay employees to have insurance, but not having health insurance is a big setback, especially when other firms do this in the area.

Everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful on May 19, 2024 - Former Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I would like to see management put in place a few younger attorneys so that there is an appropriate balance between change and unwillingness to change. Right now the firm feels like it's stuck in its way's which is a real shame.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I learned a lot while working at this firm and formed some good relationships with other coworkers. I also thought the work was interesting and never dull.

What did you not like about this institution?
Some of the senior level attorney's and management members are a bit stubborn and seemed unwilling to change their ways. This led to difficulties in more than quite a few instances.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Improvements can be made to enhance diversity in the company. There was no diversity and as the only minority I already felt uncomfortable and was given comments such as “ do you have your high school diploma?” basically doubting my ability from the start. But I kept my head high and ignored this and never made negitive comments back.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
the paid holidays

What did you not like about this institution?
Management gives very poor training and expects you know things, I have never had experience in this field and needed to learn a lot and was never given proper training and they had no standard operating procedures only checklist that no goes over with you. People got upset if i asked questions . They only gave me three months to learn wills, adoptions, and guardianships and probates. When I was let go with no write up or formal warnings, I was told “ we are not a training facility, and you either sink or swim”.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
All Yakima Partners, all stuck in there old ways

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
None
