The personality of the firm is its key feature. Keep up the laid back atmosphere, commitment to rewarding productivity and having some low cost perks still available.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
SFNR boasts a diverse group of extremely talented attorneys in all practice areas, typically found in larger firms. This smaller firm of 25 or so attorneys rewards productivity, features a collaborative environment, no egos and no screamers. It's a great firm to grow a practice without the pressures of high billable hours. Much lower and flexible billing rates allow for easier client development and retention. Friendly atmosphere.

What did you not like about this institution?
There are really no negatives here, but attorneys coming from larger firms may find the lack of "flash" to be different from what they're used to. Due to the lower billing rates and little billable hour pressure, some of the perks of larger firms are not available but are not missed.

All of the partners here are extremely approachable, with an open door policy. There are no partners to avoid.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Without a doubt: the people. It's critical to work in a place where you like the people you work with. At SFNR, the attorneys and staff are all friendly, and you look forward to firm lunches, cocktails and other ways to get to know everyone.
