5.Current Employee, more than 3 yearsAchievable Work -Life Balance and a Great TeamAttorney in Woodbury, NYRecommendProsRight after I started working at KDV, I found out that I was pregnant. I also had a very difficult pregnancy that required me to WFH (pre-covid). Throughout my difficult pregnancy and maternity leave, I felt completely supported by my team. I do not have any issues requesting time off or requesting to work from home. For the most part, I am able to maintain a great work-life balance and I get to spend a lot of time with my child. The firm also arranges several outings for the firm (including virtual ones during the lockdown). I feel appreciated and supported by the partners. When I am home with my child or out, they are understanding and they often remind me that I do not need to drop everything to get a task done. I also appreciate that we have been given the opportunity to voice our concerns internally and that management takes these concerns seriously. Overall, I am very happy at KDV and I consider myself fortunate that I have had so much support.ConsSome of the downsides are really just the natural consequences of being in litigation. I am not sure anyone really likes billable hours or billing but that is the nature of litigation.
Thank you.
