What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
You must learn how to manage attorneys and relay your expectations of them rather than ignore them when they ask for help and yell at them every day. You have created a miserable experience for all employees.

There was no positive to my experience in this firm.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I find the prior reviews perplexing. After nearly two years at RPGRK, having left only due to a career change, I can honestly say that the partners I worked with are really "in the trenches" with you. While the office is busy, which can be stressful at times (but hey, what worthwhile job isn't stressful?), I never felt that the partners were too busy to answer my questions or felt I was given short shrift. In fact, the general open-door policy made me feel completely comfortable approaching partners when I was uncertain, or even simply when I felt I needed a sounding board. This goes for both the Manhattan and the Garden City offices.
The fact that the firm has so many cases lends itself to an incredible learning and growth opportunity. I learned more in my first three months at RPGRK than I did in my nearly two years at my prior firm. Additionally, the paperless laptop-based environment eliminates most of the daily technology stresses I faced at my prior firm.
Nicest of all, I genuinely felt that the partners were not only invested in me as an attorney, but as a human being, which is such a rarity in this industry.
What did you not like about this institution?
I don't think there is a "worst of the firm.". If you are eager to learn and willing to put in the time and effort, you will get it back tenfold in the hands-on experiences.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
That's the thing - there are no partners to avoid.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This firm is big enough to learn from everyone, but small enough to receive personalized attention for the development of litigation skills.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
None. Each partner has a skill set that you can learn from, with varying backgrounds and experience. As a young associate, I have never experienced any difficulty with any partner or member of this firm.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
My favorite thing about this firm is the ability to learn and grow. This firm offers an experience different that other defense firms as the firm partners are very hands on and collaborative with the less experienced associates.
