Busy Law Firm with Opportunities for Growth!!
Jul 14, 2023 - Current Employee
Full time Current Employee

I have been working at RPGRK for over a year and have had nothing but a positive experience. The partners recognize the importance of work-life balance and are easily accessible. This is a great first place to begin your career as the partners are very hands on, patient, and easily accessible. Overall, my experience as an employee at RPGRK has been nothing short of exceptional. The firm's commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace is truly commendable. I am grateful to be part of such a remarkable team.

None.

The firm recognizes the importance of work-life balance and promotes initiatives that prioritize the health and happiness of its employees. The approachability of the management team is unparalleled, as they actively encourage employees to voice their ideas, concerns, and suggestions. The firm actively engages in firm bonding activities which fosters a collaborative and supportive environment.

Great Place to Work
Jul 14, 2023 - Current Employee Associate Attorney in Garden City, New York City,
Full time Current Employee

This firm is big enough to learn from everyone, but small enough to receive personalized attention for the development of litigation skills.

None. Each partner has a skill set that you can learn from, with varying backgrounds and experience. As a young associate, I have never experienced any difficulty with any partner or member of this firm.

My favorite thing about this firm is the ability to learn and grow. This firm offers an experience different that other defense firms as the firm partners are very hands on and collaborative with the less experienced associates.

A Great Firm to Work For

I find the prior reviews perplexing. After nearly two years at RPGRK, having left only due to a career change, I can honestly say that the partners I worked with are really "in the trenches" with you. While the office is busy, which can be stressful at times (but hey, what worthwhile job isn't stressful?), I never felt that the partners were too busy to answer my questions or felt I was given short shrift. In fact, the general open-door policy made me feel completely comfortable approaching partners when I was uncertain, or even simply when I felt I needed a sounding board. This goes for both the Manhattan and the Garden City offices. The fact that the firm has so many cases lends itself to an incredible learning and growth opportunity. I learned more in my first three months at RPGRK than I did in my nearly two years at my prior firm. Additionally, the paperless laptop-based environment eliminates most of the daily technology stresses I faced at my prior firm. Nicest of all, I genuinely felt that the partners were not only invested in me as an attorney, but as a human being, which is such a rarity in this industry.

I don't think there is a "worst of the firm.". If you are eager to learn and willing to put in the time and effort, you will get it back tenfold in the hands-on experiences.

That's the thing - there are no partners to avoid.

Fast-paced collaborative environment with room for personal and professional growth.

The operation of this office was common in the stone age of law

You must learn how to manage attorneys and relay your expectations of them rather than ignore them when they ask for help and yell at them every day. You have created a miserable experience for all employees.

There was no positive to my experience in this firm.

Prepare to be yelled at daily without training or guidance.

Christina as she will not explain her expectations and appears joyful after yelling at you each day.

Absolutely nothing, this was a horrid experience and I was only content upon leaving.

Don't torture yourself

Learn how to manage, do not permit the toxic people to oversee associates, have more attorneys to lighten the work load, outline expectations.

Technology forward law firm

Completely disrespectful, will not treat you as if you are a person, refuse to provide support, work is chaos all the time, reports will never go out on time. They have not grasped how to manage the firm.

Regina, she's not good at her job, will not provide much support, will be rude, nasty and unhelpful, is more concerned with drama and making herself feel powerful than the tasks at hand.

Technology based.

Terrible place to work

Full time 2020 Former Employee

More support for employees, better working environment.

Good exposure to insurance defense.

Horrible bosses, overworked, underpaid and harassed all the time. No work life balance.

Regina and Christina will ruin your day.

Nothing.

Make it easier to get work done, listen to attorneys, be more supportive, set expectations and help attorneys reach them.

Easy to work remote because of laptop.

Management is horrible. Support staff is not supportive and it's pure chaos overall in firm.

Regina.

Nothing.
