What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
The most challenging part is work-life balance, which is nearly impossible to maintain unless you are at the top. Heavy case load and reports are demanded ASAP, so work only if you can handle a highly stressful environment.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Professional development and training offered shows investment in employees by the firm. Projects given are diverse and challenging. Attorneys are always looking for ways to be innovative and more efficient. Flexible schedule and a solid teamwork environment characterize this law firm.

What did you not like about this institution?
The firm lies about work life balance because there is none. The hours are long and tiresome. Senior attorneys expect you to work on weekends too.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
You will learn a lot because you will not have a clear role. You will find yourself doing litigation, case management and secretary work all in a days work.

What did you not like about this institution?
This firm was very cliquey from the get-go. The employees there made sure to let you know where you fell on the totem pole. Too much work and no clear boundaries on who did what and what people's roles were. Felt overworked and under-appreciated. Other employees, particularly the 'paralegals', would call you out on mistakes in front of attorney. Not a good office vibe and an extreme caseload with very few employees.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
The original location is South Pasadena was ideal. Unfortunately they had to shut down and move their office when COVID hit.

What did you not like about this institution?
Worked here for a short bit and I can tell you the attorneys/staff do not care about you. The main concern for Darren is good publicity. He will go out of his way to make sure the reviews online about his company are positive. Even if that means sacrificing the well being and mental health of his workers.
