Advice to law firm management: You'll have opportunities to learn and upgrade your skills but you need to be flexible and a quick learner. The challenge is to maintain work-life balance.

Pros: Variety of work available and you can choose whatever you like. I would say I had diverse experience while working as an attorney at this law firm. Great people and support from across the board to help you progress with your career.

Cons: At times I felt that project deadlines are unrealistic. At time I felt that promotions tend to be based on relationship not merit.

We strive to make the summer associate experience as close to the real thing as possible, including summer associates on deal teams, on conference calls, in mediations and at hearings. You will work side by side with our attorneys, receiving the same types of projects as our associates. We don't want our summer associates just to go through the motions. Instead, we want you to have the opportunity to work on challenging matters that offer a sense of what it's actually like to be a lawyer at Moore & Van Allen. To get a true feeling of what it's like to be a summer associate at Moore & Van Allen, listen to what past summer associates have to say.

We realize there are talented law students we may not meet through on-campus interviews or our summer associate program. If you are interested in applying for a position as a first-year associate with Moore & Van Allen, please complete our online application.
