Listen to your staff more than you do currently. There are a lot of smart people here with great ideas that could really improve the quality of the office and the cases.
There is a good team atmosphere with a lot of support from the firm. They pay well and provide good benefits, plus they regularly have outings. It's a very pleasant place to work as a lawyer.
While everyone is treated fairly well, there really isn't much give and take when it comes to feedback with the upper management. They don't really seem to be open to new ideas and methods.
In with the new and out with the old. I would like to see new members installed as management leaders. I would also like to see new attorneys hired to help keep everything up to date.
The staff is friendly, the work is interesting, the pay is great, the benefits are excellent, there are a lot of overtime opportunities and the office location is great. I also learned a lot from the senior attorneyswhile I was an intern, which I am forever grateful for.
The office itself feels very restrictive in terms of doing things your way. There tends to be a very strict way of doing things and it is pretty out dated. The work flow is not optimal either due to a lack of management.
Create a system for management and HR that integrates oversight and regular meetings for feedback, not only for employees but also for management and the firm overall. Doing so could lead to more ideas being heard and possibly for those ideas to be implemented.
Good benefits and support but some concerns about HR department
Management and HR maintain very close ties so it was difficult to share genuine concerns I had with them, mostly about delays in receiving feedback and performance reports. In spite of basic concerns that should and need to be made, HR was generally unresponsive and showed signs of favoritism towards specific staff members. I did not feel adequately supported, especially with a biased HR.
Thank you.
