What did you not like about this institution?
Partners are abusive, no training is provided and you will be blamed and insulted for it, Burden constantly threatens jobs and belittles her employees. Burden will fire employees and then bash them to the entire firm and tell the reasons they were fired. Toxic work environment. No training provided so there is no working experience to gain and the atmosphere and coworkers will make you rethink your whole career choice. DO NOT APPLY!!!!!

Small firm where you get to work with a lot of different people. Collaborative. Personal--everyone knows you and you know everyone else. Great opportunities to learn and gain experience.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
A wonderful firm to be a part of. Attorneys are helpful. understanding and have an open door policy. The admin staff is not only excellent at what they do, but will go out of there way to help each other. The partners of the firm want you to succeed and will help you give you every opportunity to do so, even though the firm is small in size, I had the opportunity to advance and learn skills. The firm is managed with excellence. Great firm all around. The partners take great pride in all the employees.

None to Share. If you have the opportunity to be a part of BHH I would highly encourage you to do so. I would absolutely 100% be a part of BHH again!

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Stop trying to bump your stats.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I am posting this here because the two reviews dated March 2021 are an obvious sham attempt by the firm to rehabilitate its LawCrossing reputation. Unless the firm and the way in which it is run have undergone some sort of psychic cleansing, there is no way those two reviews are real.
What did you not like about this institution?
The substitution of "we'll just post some fake reviews" for "these reviews are bad perhaps we should consider why it is our turnover is so embarrassingly high."
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Avoid partners who are so allergic to introspection that they turn instead to hiring online reputation repair companies to post obvious sham reviews.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
How hilariously obvious these attempts are.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Stop trying to fool potential future employees with your clearly false positive reviews and work on actually making a change to the firm, your terrible attitudes and lack of respect for other human beings.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
None
What did you not like about this institution?
They clearly have started to try to clean up their insanely low employee review rating of 1 star. They deserve 0 stars. Please do not be misled by these false reviews from March 2021. This firm is abusive and toxic. You will want to leave as soon as you are hired. Please please take the negative reviews seriously! This firm needs to be shut down for the way they treat employees.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Donna Burden will berate you via email, talk badly about you to other employees and insult you when mistakes are made.
Phyllis Hafner will nitpick every single mistake and refuse to provide clear, to the point instructions and then insult you and make you feel dumb when you dont understand her nonexistence directions.
Sarah Hansen is kind but is often used by Donna to do her dirty work and then Donna will bad talk Sarah's clothing and work to employees of the firm.
Are these people you would want to work for?

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The best part of the firm is the small, hardworking atmosphere. If you want to be surrounded by ambitious individuals, this is the place for you. Also, it is a great place for new professionals looking to get their foot in the door and navigate the legal/business world. The work flow is high and continuous, which definitely keeps you busy and interested. Additionally, the firm deserves recognition for keeping their employees safe/employed during COVID and provided the necessary tech means needed (i.e. laptops and 24 hour tech support).
What did you not like about this institution?
Downtown parking when working in the office (due to some new construction downtown/road closures make it more difficult)
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Strong believer that you get what you put in. If you show up, work hard, and are a team player there is nothing to "avoid".
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Favorite things about the firm include flexibility on how to complete assignments and manage time. As long as things are done on time and up to standard, partners/management are open to letting you do what works best for you. Additionally, the firm provides training in various areas such as using internal programs (i.e. Amicus, PcLaw, Shared Drive) and on office procedures which sets clear expectations from day one. Also, access to tech personnel during remote work has been helpful for any problems which may arise - you do not feel like you have to figure them out yourself. Furthermore, if you are interested in changing areas within the firm, management is open to that transition. Overall, this would be a great place for someone new to the field or a recent college graduate looking for professional experience and a company to grow in.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
5.Former Employee, more than 1 yearPROUD to have been a part of BHH!File Clerk in Buffalo, NYRecommendProsCo-workers are very helpful and great to work with, Attorneys have the time (even though they are extremely busy) to answer any questions and take the time to explain their answers and are very understanding. I have been a part of a few wonderful firms in my career, but none better managed and with an exciting future. Partners (Donna, Phyliss and Sarah) are not only great/respected attorneys, but also have an open door policy, which some firms will tell you, but they mean it. I was also given the opportunity for advancement within the firm where I learned a great deal of new skills. I would highly recommend BHH to anyone and would 100% work there again!ConsHonestly can't think of any CONS, firm is extremely busy, but to me that is a good thing.
