See reviews for Zimmerman Reed, LLP from attorneys and other legal professionals below.
What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Zimmerman Reed needs to stop taking on clients they have no intention of representing all the way through. If they promise representation and compensation, they should follow through—not dump clients with a form letter after wasting months of their time. They need transparency, accountability, and an actual commitment to the people they claim to help.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
“Nothing. I found Zimmerman Reed to be misleading, unprofessional, and completely unaccountable. They overpromised, disappeared when it counted, and failed to deliver anything they claimed they would.”
What did you not like about this institution?
“Nothing. I found Zimmerman Reed to be misleading, unprofessional, and completely unaccountable. They overpromised, disappeared when it counted, and failed to deliver anything they claimed they would.”
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
“Avoid Zimmerman Reed entirely—every department, every attorney, and every so-called service they offer. Their ‘representation’ is a joke. They take on mass clients, make big promises, then abandon cases without warning or explanation. Do not trust their arbitration services, do not believe their payout estimates, and do not waste your time expecting real legal advocacy from this firm.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Zimmerman Reed could run its business better by being honest, selective, and accountable. They should stop mass-signing clients just to inflate their numbers and start treating each case with integrity. If they can’t follow through on a case, they should never take it. Transparency, real communication, and standing by their clients would be a start—but at this point, a full overhaul of their ethics and practices is what’s really needed.”
What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
If things aren't broken, no need for fixing- things were going well, and I believe they'll continue to do well.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I feel right at home at this firm. My coworkers are classy, smart and friendly. They make it a great environment to get my work done in a timely, undistracted manner. I've never felt bored, there's a wide variety of areas of law practiced at this firm, always something to learn.
What did you not like about this institution?
Everything was going well until this firmed decided it was time for a shake up and change in management. I've never understood the change to this day; the replacements weren't an upgrade by any means.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Allow individuals to continue to grow and work with the company, by not stressing them out as much when they first start working there.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Working here has taught me a lot that I feel I couldn't have learned anywhere else. It is great to be around such great people.
What did you not like about this institution?
It tends to be a fast paced environment and that can get to some people that are not used to that. It takes some time.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Management needs to be more present at the firm. This makes the law firm look back and it's unfair for employees to have to pick up other's slack.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This firm is alright when you first start working here. The pay is good considering the area and it comes with great benefits including dental. I also got a lot of vacation time which was nice as well as sick days if I needed them.
What did you not like about this institution?
Management was hardly ever around the firm and the place felt like a bit of a zoo at times. Documents would go missing, staff would just not show up, and no one was here to deal with it.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Go back to way things were. Appreciate your staff and go back to the family atmosphere we once had here. Maybe make a little less (pretty sure you all make over a million) and pay for family benefits. Take care of your staff and be a lot nicer. Get rid of your HR lady who is making a lot of us want to leave. Appreciate your staff and those of us who have been with you for a long time and start paying more - just because other firms are just as stingy, there are many firms paying a lot more than you and trying to get us to join their teams.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This used to be a great place to work. Have worked at this firm in MPLS office for a long time. Great benefits and comparable pay. Stingy year end bonuses; friends at other firms make at least a paycheck; don't expect that here. Health care includes Dental which is nice, but family benefits are crazy expensive. Don't work here if you need insurance for your kids.
What did you not like about this institution?
The new mgt is mean-spirited and out to get rid of us old timers. Their new HR is incompetent, rude, never at work, and is out to get people. She is the worst in law firm management and doesn't even had a degree, ex secretary or something. Partners turn a blind eye and let her ruin relationships.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Founder is great, managing partners mean, other partners so so to work with. Some associates are the worst prima donnas ever, they think just because they went to law school they are better than everyone else and treat paralegals like crap. Other associates are really great and appreciative
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
They throw fun summer and holiday parties. There are some really great people here, and the paralegals I work with are really great and supportive. We help each other a lot and help each other deal with crazy HR and mean new associates.
