Everyone needs a job, and nobody wants to be scared of losing the one they have. Leadership should be more transparent about things when they let someone go.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
There are a lot of smart lawyers walking around in this firm, so it's a great place for new associates to learn. Partners are pretty accessible and everyone is generally supportive and willing to help out.

What did you not like about this institution?
There seems to be a general consensus that the job stability here is not good. Many people live in constant fear of being downsized. I've seen it happen a few times, but I'm not sure why.

Learn to treat everyone as equals and show some respect to the new people. Not everyone can be at the same level, and you were there once yourself.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This is a good place to work on and learn real estate, trust and estate law. They have an excellent and steady flow of work in these areas.

What did you not like about this institution?
They aren't very good in the salary and bonus areas. They don't always value the newer associates or treat them with the most respect.
