Great Firm But with Minimal Advancement on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I think that there are a lot of younger people here that would benefit from some sort of mentorship program. Being able to work with a seasoned lawyer and learn what they know would cause some of the staff to be even more interested in the firm and what the firm does. Doing that would help some staff rise in the firm too, making us feel like there is a chance for advancement.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The staff here is perfect. They are willing to help and go that extra mile for both the clients and each other at work. Everyone here has a smile and is friendly towards everyone. The hours are manageable and are flexible in some areas, so there is a way to have a work life and a proper personal life. Another plus to the firm is that we have many resources at our fingertips. Technology is on par with others in the industry and the firm is constantly updated on things like that. It really makes researching tasks easier for the staff!

What did you not like about this institution?
Probably the worst of the firm is that there isn't a real opportunity for advancement. The staff members here have a ceiling and you can't do much to get past that. There are younger staffers here at the firm that are really interested in becoming lawyers and work in law, but there isn't any way for them to rise up in ranks here.
