What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Like I said. They made it really easy to be a client and I got paid more than I expected.

Full time 2022 Former Employee

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Diversity and high quality. People there very direct. One foreign woman would bad mouth people but she may not be there anymore.

What did you not like about this institution?
Not much. I just changed careers

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
I cant think of it now.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Haven't worked there for a while so not really sure. I think the firm is still the same mostly and their ads say they still handle big cases.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
We didn't sell any products but gave legal advice to clients and helpd with their lawsuits. We had cases all over and I liked how fast paced things were. Some people didn't like working hard but I did and so it was a good experience for me.

What did you not like about this institution?
Wasn't a promotion possibility due to the job I was in but others were promoted.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Office manager was abrasive but I think she's gone now. Rest of the people were nice to me.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Not sure about that

Did a great job on my case on Jul 01, 2025 -

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I think the employer had soe hiring and recruiting issues a year or two ago and had turnover from it. I know they are doing background checks more now which should fix the issue. Someone stole from the company, got fired, put up bad reviews, was a big mess. Comapny been around for over 30 years so seems to have to have it figured out.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Same things as I already said. Work level was really high and fast paced. I liked that, becuase we were makiing a difference.

What did you not like about this institution?
Just Millenials thinking they don't have to work but will get promoted right away anyway. Your get what you give.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Can't think of it.

DO NOT WORK HERE on Jul 10, 2024 - Former Employee

Full time 2024 Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
The partner in question needs to be reigned in. He’s so bad that it makes the rest not worth it. Turnover is high!

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
My coworkers, besides the one person in question, were lovely. The collaboration with them was unmatched - if I didn’t know something, someone else in the office did and they were happy to help.

What did you not like about this institution?
No remote work unless you’re a partner, no autonomy, no consistency. It’s a fast paced firm and I liked that, but cases move quickly and you have to be on your toes. Data breach law is the Wild West.

Unethical on May 19, 2024 - Former Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time 2018 Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Humble yourself. Make it about your clients and employees and not yourself. Also, decide if you want to have a firm or be a solo. Your traits are better suited for the latter.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Management is often absent, resulting in a harmony between staff. Additionally, excellent BART location...but that is changing. Luckily, the new office will be located next to a theme park.

What did you not like about this institution?
Management. The ego of management is large. The worst part is management does not care about their clients, as evidence by management’s issues with the State Bar of California. Sanctions are a common issue at the firm.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
The founding attorney (This firm is not a partnership). His unethical ways might result in yourself being sanaction, as it has previously occurred.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
BART location - but that is changing. Besides that, the employee happy hours. Due to turnover, management will take you out for two drinks every four months.

Full time 2017 Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Practice solo if you don’t believe in your employees work ethic or advice. Take responsibility for your own orders to associates.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
You get responsibility fast- because the managing partner is only around for a few hours a few days a week.

What did you not like about this institution?
The managing partner - he will demand work that will get himself and the firm sanctioned, but then blame the whole ordeal on you.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
The managing partner (there’s only one. The firm has never been a partnership likely due to the managing partner’s work style).

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
You grow quickly on your own. The firm has monthly happy hours. The firm was near BART but now is in Concord.

Great people and management on May 19, 2024 - Former Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time 2019 Former Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
If workers have a bad attitude, get rid of them work quickly.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
If you want to feel part of something important, this is a great place to work. Management gives tremendous responsibility and autonomy to a talented workforce. If you want to hide in a big firm environment, this place would not be for you. The staff here enjoys great teamwork and relies on each other to get the job done. The owner is huge in promoting education and creativity.

What did you not like about this institution?
Staff members that can’t handle responsibility tend to bring morale down and blame others for their failures. Management took longer than it should to weed out these people.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Well the firm had a couple of attorneys in past years that should have been avoided, the current make up is great.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Great vision, sense of ownership and responsibility. It’s nice to work on the “right” side of cases.

Full time Current Employee

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
I would tell the management to keep doing what they are doing!

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I've been working at Scott Cole & Associates for quite some and am very happy with my job. There is always room to grow and learn. Knowledgeable attorneys and staff that are more than willing to teach, and the people want the best for each other and the firm. I'm a single mother of two small children and the firm has been very accommodating and understanding of my needs. Scott Cole & Associates is a firm that cares about its work quality and its employees.

What did you not like about this institution?
The worst part for me is that the commute is long, but it is worth it!

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
There aren't any partners or associates here that I would avoid. All are friendly and have open doors.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
One of my favorite things about the firm is my coworkers. They are a fun bunch!

I LOVE MY JOB on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

Full time Current Employee

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
I started working at Scott Cole & Associates almost 2 years ago, and applying for this job was the best career decision I have ever made. The attorneys at this firm are always supportive and find ways to challenge me to grow. I have worked at a couple of different law firms, and the reason why Scott Cole & Associates feels like home is that I feel cared for, respected and above all, I feel heard. I will continue to support and work hard for this firm as long as I possibly can.

What did you not like about this institution?
the benefits are not that great.

Keep your team happy. Be nice to them.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
They have gorgeous offices now. Some of the staff is quite friendly,

What did you not like about this institution?
Lawyers don't give feedback on your work, or make an effort to train. This place is "each man for himself" I don't have enough experience at other law firms, but this is the first I've seen like this.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Scott Cole--he's very rigid and forceful-great for trial[not so much for professional employees.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Happy hours!!
