Hire more support staff to help the paralegals do their job more efficiently. The money save on overtime will easily pay their wages.

Hard work and attention to detail get rewarded here. They take great pride in advancing from within and treat their staff with respect.

What did you not like about this institution?
The firm is well established and has a very large list of clients. Over worked is a word you will get to know very well.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Contrary to what was written in the other review, our office does not have employees work overtime. The employer, Kathleen Flynn, would have to approve the overtime in rare circumstances such as attending a networking event in the evening, handling an urgent computer software issue or doing intake for a client who arrived very late. We are a firm with 7 full-time legal assistants/paralegals, 1 part-time assistant, 1 remote employee and 3 attorneys. I, the paralegal/office manager and 1 other assistant, who has been with the firm over 7 years, may take on extra tasks and responsibilities. However, the other assistants have set tasks to work on every day. As far as the other reviewer saying the assistants are ‘overworked’, this is a dedicated, specialized, fast paced disability law practice with time sensitive deadlines. We have a receptionist who answers incoming calls, and all of the assistants are assigned time slots as backup during heavy call periods. We strive to provide a more personal, caring approach for our clients in trying to answer phone calls rather than sending them to voicemail. Go-getters, future-focused employees, and hard-working, goal-driven employees do not lean on the thought, ‘overworked’. Instead, employees, who truly care about improving the lives of our disability clients, will gladly help our clients in any way they can to win their claims.
