Only interested in billable hours

Cathy and team did not listen to my concerns. They knew my budget and had seen my bank accounts but just ran up hours past what I had without even helping. So I had to apply for a delay in my court date as they dropped from my support as I could not pay the bill before end of the year.

Unprepared and unhelpful.

Ran up tens of thousands in billing hours just screwing around with emails. No plan on how to resolve my issue.

Cathy Gorlin. All reasons stated above. Took all my savings and did nothing but answer emails from apposing council. Had no plan to resolve my divorce.

Nothing. Website is even terrible

Political and Inconsistent

Be consistent in the distribution of work, compensation decisions and the enforcement of policies. Stop couching politics and management’s affinity for cliques in “progressive” rhetoric. It’s totally transparent. Be more inclusive.

There are some wonderful partners with deep knowledge to share.

Only those who play into firm politics and favoritism seem to be successful and able to stay long term. Favoritism seems to drive compensation and that appears to drive out most laterals and associates.

Clients are generally high quality.

Too Much Office Politics

Pay more attention to how your workers work and less on how much you like them. It's not a fraternity.

I enjoyed the challenges of working here. There are a lot of lawyers here that have a lot of knowledge to share among the others.

This firm is much like any other place to work. There unfortunately are a lot of office politics and you will get better work depending on how you are liked more than how you work.
