I have no thoughts on this. They are among the best I've worked with nationwide.
I am an expert, and have worked for many firms, and this firm several times over 15 or 20 years. These guys want the facts, the truth.(good and bad - the best attorneys don't need lipstick on a pig, their clients need real answers and legitimate estimates of potential liability!) When I am hired to evaluate a case this firm is always ready with cogent understanding of their clients, the facts of the case, and need my help to flesh out what's real in my area of expertise. They do the work, and get the info. If there are nuances, and specific variables in my area of expertise, they accept the explanations and use it to their advantage when doing depositions, or contesting specious accusations. I've been asked to work for other firms that don't have their case together, not diligently reviewed, not interested in reality/truth, and would prefer experts who simply say what their version of their case needs. My ethics and reputation are on the line in any case I work on and I am disclosed, deposed,or at trial. And the best insurers pay for quality and good outcomes. The ones that are playing games with billing and how much discovery they'll do or share with me, are not where I'd want to work if I was a student, intern, or associate. If I was a lawyer I'd want to be with a well respected , well managed, long standing, successful firm.
I have no reason an honest, ethical, hard working, invested in his or her clients, attorney wouldn't want to work here.
None of the partners nor any associates have ever given me a reason to question or dislike them, their skill, or the mutual respect I got there.
I am a current contractor working for the firm.
I think something as simple as the partners offering the associates better bonuses and incentives could help with motivation during times when we have to work long hours.
The culture here is great. Attorneys like me are motivated by our superiors due to their willingness to help out. We also have access to great resources to get our jobs done. There are also good amenities in the work place.
The work load can be a bit much sometimes. And it gets busier during certain parts of the year. Something like this makes sense though because of how much care we put into our work.
Thank you.
