Current Employee Mr. San Francisco

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
This is a good place to work, but you need to put a leash on the fraternizing. If it continues, our work output will suffer and we will all pay for it in the future.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The people I work with are great. I enjoy coming to work and being involved with complex problems and issues. I feel like part of the team and I feel recognized when I contribute. The company sponsors great onsite events. I love attending these to alleviate the stress of the job.

What did you not like about this institution?
The technology used is a bit outdated and the company tends to hire young inexperienced people that have no clue what they are doing. I've seen some of these young ""professionals"" treat the workplace like their personal clubhouse.

Diversity

Write a review

LDDK&R does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, sex, disability, marital status, national origin, race, religion, veteran status or sexual orientation. Beyond that policy, in an effort to broaden the diversity of attorneys in the firm, the firm has placed a particular emphasis in recent years on hiring and retaining minority candidates. In addition to our regular campus recruitment program, LDDK&R is proactive in identifying and reaching minority students. We regularly communicate with the placement officers of the law schools in which we conduct campus interviews, seeking assistance in notifying and inviting minority students to consider our firm.

Summer Associate Program

The summer associate program is uniquely designed to acquaint second-year law students with the firm's attorneys, practice areas and culture. Summer associates generally spend eight to twelve weeks working at the firm. Split summers are considered on a case-by-case basis, but we suggest that those who split their summers spend the first half of the summer with us.

Summer associates can expect to rotate among approximately six different practice groups, providing each law student the opportunity to work directly with many of the firm's attorneys. Whenever practicable, we provide summer associates with opportunities to attend client meetings, closings, negotiations, depositions, trials and hearings. Summer associates are routinely asked to draft research memoranda, litigation pleadings, and a wide array of transactional and real estate documents, giving them a chance to demonstrate their analytical, advocacy and writing skills.
