Don’t overwork your key people. As much as a hardworking employee wants to do a great job, sometimes it’s mentally and physically impossible to take on more people.
Pros: co-workers, management and attorneys are great to work with. This firm has a “you can’t yell “ at your staff rule which is very unique.
Cons: if you are good at your job, you will get more of it but they are willing to pay overtime and get you assistance if you are overwhelmed
I can’t think of any attorney that anyone would need to avoid but I only work in one of the branches .
The “you can’t yell at staff” rule. The effort that HR and managing partner in making sure that people are happy. The holiday parties... the Thanksgiving gift cards
There is a lot of work to do and lots of deadlines to achieve. Your work-life balance will take a toll. I suggest that you should keep looking for other jobs as well as they can fire you anytime.
The only positive thing about this firm is friendly co-workers and other staff. The work environment is good but work hours are long. The range of work and clients that I was exposed to was stimulating and interesting.
Far too many layers of management. Poor growth opportunities. Pay is also low compared to similar firms in this area. Job stability is also very bad as they can fire staff anytime to hire new at half prices.
Thank you.
