Treat your attorneys better and maybe they will stick around for more than a year. You do not pay enough for associates to deal with the abuse from the partners.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This is a small firm, with matching salaries. The trade off is that you are not expected to work big-law hours.

What did you not like about this institution?
The partners in this firm are absolutely crazy and irrational. On the Labor side, attorneys rarely stay for more than a year. Both of the labor partners are horrible, mean, abusive people. They have no interest in making you a better attorney, they will scream at you for doing exactly what they told you to do.

They have a decent amount of practice areas. The lawyers are experienced and hardworking. Staff is friendly, and the environment fosters creativity.

What did you not like about this institution?
They don't pay as much as a larger firm. It could be stressful at times.

Find people who are stuck in a rut and get people to help them get out of that rut and back to progressing.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Everyone here has lots of opportunities to progress to higher pay and responsibilities as fast as they show they are able to handle it.

What did you not like about this institution?
Some people may feel bad when a bunch of their old buddies pass them and they feel like they aren't making progress.
