What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Please provide roles of people in power with those who actually have experience in it and stop trying to hide racial comments and opinions. In a law firm that provides services to a community as diverse as Pasadena, having certain biases as employees does not excuse the racial comments made in conversations as “jokes” or the poor communication your team has been comfortable passing on.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Location was fine. Internal? Not much. Poor communication, executive director who oversees everything seems unprofessional and uneducated on position. She wore regular tennis shoes at work with business attire. Did not look professional nor appropriate for the company upon meeting clients and customers.

What did you not like about this institution?
On the customer side , same as above. If the management is unaware and poor in communication amongst clients and customers then I cannot imagine how they are with staff.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
CEO seems unavailable for her own clients and possibly her staff when needed. Needs a more flexible lead. Executive director is there to assist clients but is unknowledgeable and unaware of portfolio information and how to run her team based on their communication style with professional customers.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Clean house. New staff onboard that isn’t older with an old school mindset of racism.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
This firm needs tougher management who will make an effort in the firm. Employees feel uncared for and the business is suffering because of it.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
This firm was located in a good part of town that wasn't too far from me. The commute was easy and the building wasn't difficult to find when I first started. Parking is easy and accessible for the area.

What did you not like about this institution?
This firm was very overwhelming at times. Employees were trained poorly and management was nowhere to be found most times. People wandered around aimlessly and clients left constantly from this issue.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Get rid-off the managing partner immediately. Otherwise, the damage will continue.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Absolutely Nothing since the new managing partner took the reign. It's unfortunate it used to be a prestigious and respected law firm.

What did you not like about this institution?
Run by an incompetent and an unqualified managing partner who absolutely does not know how to manage a midsize law firm. Does not possess any critical thinking skills. Runs on emotions. Does not take any responsibility for the implementation that was from the get-go her ideas. Throws everyone under the bus. For the last 3 years we have lost two great Law Firm Administrators.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Just the managing partner. Very difficult to work in a hyperactivity and impulsiveness environment. The managing partner acts without thinking about what the result will be.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Coffee.

A NEUROTIC environment. on May 19, 2024 - Current Employee Mr. in San Francisco City,

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
There is now a culture of cronyism and favoritism within the management ranks that promotes workers who will fall in line with expectations of senior management, at the expense of good ideas and solutions that may not fit nicely into the managing partner mold. In addition, recent losing a very qualified all-around administrator has drained the firm of critical tribal knowledge that have left a technical gap that the so called new “executive” administrator replacement is absolutely not equipped to fill. It remains to be seen whether senior managing partner, and the entrenched antiquated corporate culture at Hahn & Hahn can adapt positively to fundamental changes in a midsize law firm marketplace. I guarantee Hahn & Hahn will have to spend ten times more money for the current position of the untrained and untaught administrator.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Absolutely nothing.

What did you not like about this institution?
Managing Partner Senior Management Partner missteps and the lack of a strategic focus of the Managing Partner have put the Law Firm on a path of destruction that will be difficult to emerge. It is time to hold the Managing Partner accountable for the failed technical programs and questionable focus that have drained significant time and resources (both financial and personnel) which could have been better invested.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
The Managing Partner. Deficiencies skills and no foresight.
