Make sure that new hires understand what is expected in terms of objectivity and professionalism. Consider the value of fringe benefits to workers - saving a small amount of money by removing a benefit that someone is used to can easily cost the firm in the long term by demotivating people who enjoy small rewards.
This is a decent firm for those without a lot of real-world experience - they'll give you a chance and are fairly flexible with their scheduling. Others are available to give you guidance and to help you find out about what functions you are good at.
Fringe benefits occasionally disappear or become less valuable with little notice. A serious disadvantage to all of the new hires is that some waste time solely getting into the good graces of partners, causing them to be selected for future opportunities, while those who do what they are supposed to be doing without playing political ""games"" don't get ahead as they should.
Thank you.
