What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Get Grant some therapy. The mood swings, belittling conduct, and general toxicity will always make this firm a bad place to work.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
Honestly very little. You can develop a sense of comradery with your other co-workers having to deal with the dysfunction, but they're likely to cycle through.
What did you not like about this institution?
The whole place walks around on eggshells trying to avoid upsetting Grant Smith. Traffic due to the battery can be challenging to deal with. There's an "everyone but the two named partners are easily replicable" attitude that permeates everything. Staff reports that there is a mean girl vibe with the senior paralegals.
People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Not to beat a dead horse, but avoid Grant Smith.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Treat attorneys and staff with basic human decency, acknowledge that management is the source of the dysfunction, and try to improve rather than operate as a human meat grinder.
What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
My advice for the management is to treat employees with respect, give them more responsibility and give them the freedom to be creative in their work. Allow room for promotions and climbing the ladder.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
We have taco Tuesdays when we celebrate a good week worth of work, which is pretty satisfying and a big morale boost. We regularly get training opportunities and can learn a lot.
What did you not like about this institution?
The worst has to be just that the management is not very respectful. They don't look at us as equals at all but rather as inferior workers who don't know any better. There is also no room for promotions.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Just do it yourself. Top heavy, paperless office. No need to waste time hiring and firing paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, associates. Total revolving door. Classic firm that just "can't understand why it can't find good people"; firm management is the problem.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
If you work for the part of the practice dedicated to self-insured clients.
What did you not like about this institution?
Working for insurance clients and their overly-protective steward (partner) who is afraid you'll surpass him and walk with his clients.

Avoid Grant Smith. Learn from John Dixon.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Near Braves Ball Park and the Battery. Otherise, that's it. Miserable, miserable place.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
New management, new support staff.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
The only good thing about this firm was the pay. This firm pays its employees well because they can’t keep people.
What did you not like about this institution?
Everything sucks. The management is unprofessional and terrible at their job. The litigation coordinators are power hungry women who have terrible attitudes. The attorneys are ok except for the extremely rude partner Grant. The coworkers are lazy and do as little work as possible. All around terrible place to work.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Just shut the whole practice down.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
If you’re good at what you do, yet threaten to leave, you’ll get plenty of pay increases to get you to stay since they know no one else wants to come to the firm.
What did you not like about this institution?
Where do I begin? The firm is dysfunctional & unorganized, and the culture is extremely toxic due to certain staff members, i.e. the paralegals/litigation coordinators, and thus, abnormally high turnover. The firm administrator is unprofessional, rude, disrespectful & conniving and requests employees to post positive reviews to push down the negative ones. Then he begs to have the negative ones removed. Management couldn’t care less about its employees. You’re overworked, used, talked about & tossed away. I witnessed dozens of employees come & go, and many of them cried or were depressed in between. If you value your career, your sanity, your reputation and your life, you will refrain from seeking employment at this terrible firm.
