I am an avid supporter of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and all they bring to the table. The attorneys are exceptional, the work environment is delightful, the management is competent, and the business runs smoothly. This firm should be your first choice when it comes to legal services.
Caryn Morton's professional approach and quick follow-ups made a lasting impression on our staff. They are our top choice for legal services.

My hope is that the firm continues to foster connections with alumni and have clear conversations with associates regarding career growth beyond the partnership track.

Great place to work. You will work hard, but there are many opportunities available for self-growth. The clients are incredible, although the work is often high stakes.

The hours are similar to any big law firm and there is a lot of work to get through on weekends.

Partners are incredibly hard working and the work itself can be very demanding. Often pressure from clients is trickled down to associates, but generally there are no partners to avoid.

The people are smart, hard working and the best in the field. The firm does a lot to support its attorneys and the benefits are great for working parents.

A Busy Productive Firm

Find a balance with work and life. There are many responsibilities expected from you when you work at this firm, while it can feel rewarding, it becomes exhausting. Keep track of your superiors if you are in need of questions being answered."

A great work environment that makes you feel productive. The work here is demanding, but rewarding. The staff is great and goes out of their way to work around your needs. There is room for growth and overall I had a great time working here.

Hours here are long and tedious. With so much work expected from you, at times it can become difficult to get responses from superiors.

Great Personalities

Allow more room for growth. Be more lenient with hours and deadlines.

The people are smart and personalities are great. The work is high profile. There is a good work/life balance.

Hours are long and deadlines are tight. There is not a lot of room for growth.

Brilliant colleagues, top-of-the-line work, and a supportive workplace culture make Skadden a great place to work

Skadden is a fantastic place to begin a legal career. Of course it would be a great place to finish one's career as well, but Skadden also affords young associates great opportunities to pursue government or in-house positions down the line. Partners and senior associates do what they can to help you succeed. The firm is busy, but it provides you with the resources needed to do your job well.

Skadden is a uniquely positioned firm with a plethora of industry-leading practices. Clients come to Skadden for their most important matters when the firm's unique expertise can be a difference-maker. The firm attracts top students, but also looks for those who will fit into the firm's culture.

Like all large law firms, hours can be tough at times. This is usually based on client demands, rather than difficult partners. This downside seems like the nature of the work though, rather than being unique to Skadden.
