5.Former Employee, more than 1 yearDifferent from other Corporate Law FirmsStrategic Pricing Analyst in Washington, DCRecommendProsIf you want to work at a Corporate Law Firm, work at Covington. They try to treat their staff like human beings, although the industry as a whole has a lot of work to do.ConsThe industry of Corporate Law Firms is pretty toxic. It is very rough to be a staff in this industry.
If you go here, be sure to stick it out for the long haul and hope you make it to higher positions.
I was at Covington and Burling for over 2 years and the staff is lovely, helps however they can with anything.
The pay is a bit on the low side for the workload involved but the raises are fantastic.
Show more appreciation to the administrative assistants and secretaries.
I learned a lot and worked with good people. The atmosphere is collegial. People are smart and knowledgeable.
There are many very busy days. The large size is not suitable for all.
A little higher pay would be nice, but otherwise, keep up the good work.
Excellent Teamwork
Honestly, there's nothing that I can say is bad about this firm except for thenegatives that every law firm must have given the nature of the work. Yes, there are long hoursand sometimes it's very exhausting, but with a great team you make the best of the worstsituations.
Thank you.
