Business Litigation Associate
The candidate must have 2-4+ years’ experience. Must have stellar legal writing skills and a desire to litigate. Must have an excellent academic record, be astute, and possess excellent communication skills, research skills, and perseverance when preparing a case for trial. Business and fiduciary litigation experience is a plus.
The candidate will represent clients in court. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Advise clients on business and legal transactions. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
The candidate advises clients in real estate transactions involving the purchase, sale, or refinance of a home or commercial real estate property. This position reports directly to the State Managing Attorney. Should have Juris Doctorate. Should be licensed and hold a Bar card in good standing within the state in which they practice. The candidate will meet with potential clients. Advise clients on the different options available to them through bankruptcy. Draft new bankruptcy cases. Help manage cases from filing through discharge. Attend hearings. Request/approve drafts of various objections, pleadings, and motions. Stay informed of developments in bankruptcy law.
