Job Title: Associate General Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
- Review corporate transactions, including contract and lease reviews/negotiations.
- Consult with the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to assess the merits of project and employment claims made against or on behalf of the company.
- Participate in business transactions, such as acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- Engage in the legal aspects of the company’s financing, including evaluating current and future business structures and legal entities.
- Advise on best practices in corporate governance, and have an understanding of compliance and regulatory issues.
- Participate in the evaluation of the company’s insurance programs.
- Support patent pursuits by the company.
Education and Experience Information:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in construction and transactional law is required. In-house counsel experience is strongly preferred, although relevant outside counsel experience will also be considered.
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred.
- Active bar membership is required.
- The candidate should possess excellent legal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Developed professional interpersonal skills are necessary, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels within the company.
- Working knowledge of Adobe software and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
Salary Information:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is between $104,000 and $123,000 annually.
- The candidate is eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
