Job Title: Automotive Product Liability and Warranty Litigation Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Taking depositions, arguing motions, and attending court hearings and mediations as necessary.
- Drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents.
- Conducting complex and rigorous legal research and analysis and drafting memoranda.
- Preparing status reports and recommendations for clients.
- Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation.
- Working on all aspects of litigation, from the initial responsive pleading through trial.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in litigation.
- Experience in aviation, product liability, or automotive warranty is ideal.
- Must be admitted to the California Bar.
- Should have experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
- Requires state and federal court experience.
- Excellent academic credentials and work history are preferred.
- Superior writing and analytical skills are necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Candidates must be capable of handling matters of a highly sensitive nature and time-sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects is essential.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
- Candidates should have the ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail are necessary.
- Must be capable of working within a team environment.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $160,000-$190,000. This range considers various factors, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Typically, it is not expected for an individual to be hired near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
