Job Title: Tax Senior Manager, Privately Held Businesses
Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Senior Manager for Privately Held Businesses is a critical role within the company, focusing on tax planning, compliance, and consulting for a diverse array of clients, including those with private equity and joint venture ownership. This position involves several key responsibilities:
- Lead Client Engagements: The manager will oversee client tasks and expectations, ensuring client satisfaction and driving efficiency improvements across multiple engagements. They will serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the year.
- Team Leadership: The role requires collaboration with engagement teams to meet deadlines, complete tasks efficiently, and exceed client expectations.
- Client Management & Consulting: The manager will provide innovative tax planning and compliance expertise. This includes advising on tax structures, buy/sell side planning and reporting, and tax-saving strategies for clients with a focus on acquisitions. They will offer proactive, forward-thinking solutions tailored to meet client needs.
- Business Development & Practice Growth: Working closely with partners, the manager will identify and develop new business opportunities and support ongoing practice development efforts.
- Cross-Functional Support: The manager will contribute to firm-wide projects and responsibilities, collaborating with various teams to ensure the success of core Private Client Services tax functions.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
- Candidates must possess either a CPA or JD certification.
- The role requires 5-10 years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge and previous experience in Private Client Services taxation, including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Tax research, are essential.
Additional Requirements:
- The candidate must have excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong external and internal communication skills are required due to the client-facing nature of the role and the importance of strong partnerships with internal engagement teams.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and similar tools is necessary.
- The candidate should demonstrate initiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo, develop strong internal relationships, and exhibit flexibility, as these are keys to success.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $210,000. Salaries offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as the candidate's skillset, experience, licensure, certifications, job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
