The **Members Only** is currently seeking a highly qualified and dedicated attorney to join our team as an Assistant Attorney General in the Financial Services Section in Springfield. As an Assistant Attorney General in the Financial Services Section, you will be a part of the Recovery Unit, which is responsible for collecting money owed to the State of Missouri. This includes representing over 40 state agencies, departments, and boards in a variety of legal matters. You will have the chance to practice primarily in state circuit court, as well as in other courts such as the Missouri Courts of Appeal and federal bankruptcy court. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable courtroom experience and develop your legal skills.

In addition to the Recovery Unit, the Financial Services Section also includes the Child Support Unit, which works to ensure that children receive the financial support they are entitled to. Together, these units play a crucial role in protecting the interests of Missourians and upholding the law.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills, as well as familiarity with state court rules and procedures. A commitment to public service and an interest or background in administrative law and probate is also preferred.
