Job Title: Japanese Business Network - Private Tax Manager

Job Responsibilities:
The Japanese Business Network - Private Tax Manager position involves working within the department to aid private companies in addressing a variety of business advisory needs. This includes audit, tax compliance, and planning to enhance operational efficiency and allocate more time for strategic business focus. The role provides the opportunity to engage with private companies throughout their business life cycles, from inception to growth and maturity, and eventual transition. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting clients in designing and implementing personalized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals.
- Focusing on critical issues such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.
- Working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Developing new skills and acting to resolve issues that hinder team effectiveness.
- Coaching team members, recognizing their strengths, and encouraging personal development.
- Analyzing complex ideas or proposals and building meaningful recommendations.
- Utilizing multiple information sources to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Addressing sub-standard work or work that fails to meet firm's/client's expectations.
- Using data and insights to support decision-making.
- Developing a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients.
- Managing diverse viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and proven success in handling complex tax issues faced by . non-publicly traded entities with extensive operations in Japan.
- Demonstrates extensive abilities and proven success in identifying and addressing client needs through:
- Building and maintaining networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Preparing and coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Supervising teams to foster trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Coaching staff and providing timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Japanese Business Network - Private Tax Manager position is $98,300 to $266,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for the position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
