Job Overview:
A respected New York-based immigration law firm is seeking a well-rounded Immigration Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of immigration matters, including both employment-based and family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and federal litigation. Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of immigration matters including:

    • Employment-based immigration (H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-1)

    • Family-based petitions

    • Adjustment of status and consular processing

    • Naturalization and waivers

    • Asylum and humanitarian relief

    • Federal court litigation

    • Ethics-related immigration cases

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare briefs, motions, petitions, and other filings

  • Maintain communication with clients and manage expectations throughout the case lifecycle

  • Stay informed on developments in immigration law and apply updates to active cases

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategies and execution

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience practicing immigration law across a variety of categories

  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume and diverse caseload

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong commitment to client advocacy and legal ethics

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of immigration case types

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction

  • Proficiency with case management software and legal research tools

  • Ability to adapt quickly to legal and procedural changes in immigration law
