A well-established, multi-state law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Boston office. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in general litigation and/or insurance coverage, and be admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Evaluate and assess new case files to develop action plans and litigation budgets
Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and manage document production
Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and other discovery events
Negotiate settlements and secure necessary authority for resolution
Prepare for trial proceedings as needed
Communicate regularly with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members
Contribute to client strategy and legal planning in insurance defense and general litigation matters
2–5 years of experience in litigation and/or insurance coverage
Must be licensed to practice law in Massachusetts
Licensure in additional New England states is a plus
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and team communication
Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Active bar license in Massachusetts (required)
Additional state bar admissions in New England (preferred)
Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal database systems
