Job Title: Senior Manager, International Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions such as location and operation choices, entity selection, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization, considering tax risk profiles, global effective tax rates, and cash postures.
- Advise on tax planning decisions, helping clients understand potential short and long-term considerations and consequences in the context of global business objectives.
- Collaborate with Mergers & Acquisition Tax teams to structure tax aspects of multinational private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs. This includes drafting tax opinions, memos, structure decks, and Excel models to illustrate tax benefits of alternative structures.
- Assist multinational enterprises with tax provisions for financial statements and compliance work products. Support audit teams in reviewing financial reporting of tax implications from global operations and transactions.
- Provide guidance on income tax treaty planning opportunities for inbound and outbound cross-border investing and trading activities.
- Offer international tax services to alternative investment companies, assisting asset managers and portfolio companies globally throughout the investment life cycle.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of eight years of recent experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Must be a licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or hold a foreign equivalent. Candidates without an approved designation/credential have one year from their hire date to obtain one.
- Broad knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions.
- Strong skills in research, writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, contribute positively to client service teams, and supervise and assist in the development and training of staff professionals.
- Capable of developing and deepening client relationships to expand the company's footprint in local and global markets. Collaborate with both . and . teams to deliver appropriate services to clients.
Salary Information:
- Salary ranges are determined by location and are available through a provided URL for non-California locations. The California salary range is $159,100 - $300,400.
- Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and personal well-being benefits.
