Job Title: Senior Tax Manager, Financial Services (Capital Markets/Partnerships)
Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager in the Financial Institutions Tax practice at the company, the candidate will be responsible for several key duties:
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance and consultation to clients, ensuring compliance and strategic tax planning.
- Identify and implement tax planning and tax savings strategies to optimize client financial performance.
- Collaborate and engage in large projects, bringing expertise and leadership to complex tax issues.
- Manage and foster existing client tax relationships through client deliverables and a hands-on consultative approach, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Mentor and develop interns, staff, and senior staff while promoting a highly interactive team environment, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Manage multiple engagements at once, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires specific educational qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, while a Master’s of Taxation is preferred, reflecting the advanced knowledge needed for the role.
- CPA, JD, or EA certification is required, indicating professional accreditation and expertise in tax matters.
- The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years' experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend, especially from a large CPA firm, to ensure familiarity with complex financial environments.
- Previous experience with operational partnerships is required, while previous banking experience is preferred, highlighting the specialized knowledge needed for the financial services sector.
Salary Information:
The salary for this role is competitive and considers various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The estimated salary range is $106, - $267, per year. It is noted that at the company, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
