Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
- Court Appearances: The Associate Attorney is responsible for preparing, appearing timely, and properly handling court appearances within a reasonable travel distance. This includes ensuring timely and reliable appearances at the designated courthouse, and may involve overnight travel for certain locations. Driving a car is required for some locations.
- Court Coverage Placements: The Associate Attorney must review and appropriately request coverage for all court calls where they will not appear. This includes attaching all necessary documents for the attorney’s appearance and any orders required for the requested coverage results.
- Mid Litigation Motions and Responses: The Associate Attorney may be required to draft, review, and file necessary motions during the course of litigation.
- Trials and Arbitrations: The Associate Attorney may need to prepare for trials and arbitrations as necessary for the law firm, which may involve overnight stays in distant counties.
- Communications: The Associate Attorney is required to communicate with consumers, consumers' employers, and consumers' attorneys as necessary to resolve accounts or suits.

Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina. Additional licensing in other states such as SC, IA, MO, KS, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV is welcomed.
- The candidate should be comfortable appearing in court and have the ability to appear on time consistently using their own method of transportation.
- The candidate must be able to travel as required, with reimbursement in accordance with IRS published mileage rates and other law firm-approved travel expenses.
- The candidate must possess multi-tasking abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills to manage a high volume case load.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is mandatory.
