A boutique law firm based in New York City is seeking a seasoned International Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its high-performing team. This role involves working with high-net-worth individuals, global families, and business owners to develop sophisticated estate planning strategies that address complex cross-border issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling international trust structures, tax considerations, and wealth preservation for international clients. This is a client-facing position offering strategic responsibility and leadership opportunities within a collaborative environment.

Advise clients on international estate planning strategies, including trust formation, wealth preservation, and asset protection
Develop customized estate plans considering global tax regulations, family dynamics, and succession planning
Assist in the creation and administration of international trusts, foundations, and similar vehicles
Conduct legal research on international tax treaties, inheritance laws, and multi-jurisdictional legal implications
Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas for integrated legal solutions
Stay current on international estate planning trends and regulatory changes
Represent clients in negotiations, settlements, and trust/estate-related litigation as needed
Build and maintain trusted client relationships with a focus on confidentiality and service excellence
Mentor junior associates and paralegals
Participate in firm initiatives and ongoing legal education
Minimum 10 years of legal experience in international trusts and estates law
Demonstrated success in handling complex international estate planning matters
Strong client management and strategic advisory capabilities
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and client-centered service
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in New York, or eligibility to obtain licensure
Deep knowledge of international estate planning, tax treaties, and fiduciary duties
Experience advising high-net-worth clients on multi-jurisdictional planning matters
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to present complex legal concepts clearly to clients
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable managing multiple client matters simultaneously
Fluency in additional languages and/or international client experience is a plus
