The Role:
As an Assistant General Counsel at Withum, you will work closely with our General Counsel to handle a wide variety of legal matters. This includes contract management, litigation oversight, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. You will also have the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects and collaborate with partners and team members on various legal issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and third parties
- Analyzing and identifying potential risks and exposures in various agreements
- Managing the firm's response to subpoenas and interacting with third parties or outside counsel
- Providing advice on laws impacting the profession, such as privacy and data security regulations
- Conducting legal research and analysis and assisting with the development and implementation of legal processes and systems
- Supporting partners and team members with contract-related matters
- Handling additional projects as needed
Qualifications:
- . from an accredited law school
- 6-8 years of experience in a law firm, with prior in-house experience or litigation experience preferred
- Admission to the state bar in good standing
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience with document management software preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $150,000-$200,000 annually. Withum also offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. The final offer amount will depend on factors such as the specific role, location, and the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
