Job Title: Trial Attorney - Premises Liability
Job Responsibilities:
As a Trial Attorney at the law firm, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities designed to manage and advocate for clients in premises liability cases. Your primary duties include:
- Managing a High-Volume Caseload: Overseeing approximately 150 cases, with about 50 actively in litigation each month, ensuring each progresses from intake to settlement or jury verdict.
- Engaging with Clients: Maintaining proactive and transparent communication with clients to keep them informed and supported throughout the legal process.
- Conducting Key Litigation Activities: Performing depositions, drafting and responding to motions, leading mediations, and developing comprehensive case strategies.
- Advocating in Trials: Serving as lead counsel in jury trials, passionately advocating to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role of Trial Attorney at the law firm, candidates must meet the following educational and experiential requirements:
- Legal Experience: A minimum of 3 years practicing personal injury or civil litigation is required, with 5-8 years preferred. Experience on either the plaintiff or defense side is valuable, though plaintiff-side experience in civil litigation is preferred.
- Licensure: Candidates must have active membership and be in good standing with their local State Bar. Admissions to multiple state bars are preferred.
- Trial Experience: Extensive jury trial experience is necessary, with a deep understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence. Candidates must have at least 5+ first chair trial verdicts, though 10+ first chair jury verdicts is preferable.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate case strategies and effectively engage with clients and team members is essential.
