Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Specialization:
- Develops an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues regarding partnership taxation.
- Participates in organizing and conducting external CPE training sessions, involving company specialists, at least once a year.
- Trains and mentors interns and associates, including training them on current software tools as needed.

Research:
- Assists in identifying when research is needed and works with leadership to frame issues for analysis.
- Identifies complex issues for research by the engagement team and provides research methodology for efficient processes.
- May train interns and associates on research skills and help frame tax issues for analysis.
- Involves company specialists as appropriate.

Tax Consulting:
- Assists in developing, recommending, and implementing methods to maximize client benefits by decreasing taxes.
- Collaborates with leadership to recommend solutions based on tax and business/industry knowledge.
- Works with leadership to manage risk and maximize client benefits by decreasing client taxes.
- Assists with implementing applicable company strategies and managing client expectations.

Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participates in scheduling and managing the workload of interns and associates.
- May supervise day-to-day workload of interns on various projects.
- May review work prepared by interns and associates and provide review comments.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
- A Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.

Experience:
- Two or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience is required.
- Specialized partnership experience is preferred.
- Experience in private equity, both fund and portfolio company levels, is preferred.

License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) is preferred.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role is preferred.

Software:
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software is preferred.
