Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on matters such as child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and more.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Manage caseloads efficiently and meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality service to clients.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Stay updated on family law trends, regulations, and case law developments.
  • Attend court hearings and trials as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law or divorce-related matters.
  • Proven track record in family law litigation, negotiation, and mediation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Connecticut.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, particularly divorce and child custody matters.
