The law firm is seeking a Staff Counsel for their eDiscovery Services team, responsible for providing review services in dispute and corporate due diligence matters. The role will serve as a Team Lead, coordinating communications between lawyers and contract review teams.
This is a full-time remote position, with the flexibility to work from any city where the firm has a US office. The Staff Counsel will report to the Senior Manager of Document Review Services in Houston.
Responsibilities for this role include reviewing, analyzing, and coding documents for responsiveness, relevancy, confidentiality, issues, and privilege. The Staff Counsel will also conduct quality control reviews, coordinate and monitor the work of first level reviewers, and prepare privilege logs for productions. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited institution and be licensed and in good standing to practice in the state of employment. A minimum of 3 years of document review experience is preferred, along with a strong grasp and knowledge of document review platforms. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to high-quality work are also required.
