Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Director

Job Responsibilities:
In this role, the Director will be part of a team that assists clients in managing their tax obligations while understanding the impact of tax on their business operations. Key responsibilities include advising clients on their local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant in business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. The Director will also provide advice on the tax implications of business deals and help organizations understand pricing implications for goods and services between related parties. The role demands helping clients navigate the complex national and international tax environment, ensuring compliance with capital requirements, managing operational tax risks, and understanding the tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.

The Director is expected to:

Additional responsibilities include leading as technology-enabled tax advisors, providing value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies, and equipping professionals to succeed in a fast-paced, sophisticated transaction environment. The Director will also integrate technical knowledge with industry insights to solve client needs.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials

Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Thorough knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting for Unrelated Business Taxable Income.

The role requires extensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITS, institutional real estate funds, and privately held real estate entities. The candidate should have experience in identifying and addressing client needs, developing client relationships, preparing complex materials, and managing project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.

Experience as a team leader is crucial, with a proven record of success as a tax technical team leader generating new business, proposal writing, and delivery. The candidate should demonstrate experience in a professional services environment, utilizing automation and digitization, working with large data sets, and leveraging data visualization tools. Experience in evaluating and negotiating contracts and contributing to pricing strategies is also required.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
