Job Title: Fall 2025 Law Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research to support the defense of indigent clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors.
- Research and write motions and memoranda for ongoing cases.
- Participate in case planning and strategy development.
- Assist in the investigation of cases, including gathering and analyzing evidence.
- Coordinate and prepare witnesses for trials, hearings, and sentencings.
- Provide preparation support during trials, hearings, and sentencings.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, investigators, paralegals, social workers, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive client representation.
Education and Experience Information:
- Current enrollment in a law school program is required to qualify for the law clerk position.
- Law clerks are expected to be actively pursuing their legal education and gaining hands-on experience in the field of criminal defense.
