The law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Patent Associate with one to three years of experience in patent prosecution, specializing in electrical engineering or semiconductor technologies. This exciting opportunity is available in Seattle, Denver or Minneapolis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an active docket of patent prosecution matters
- Draft applications and handle all phases of domestic and foreign patent prosecution
- Counsel clients on patent strategy
- Conduct searches and prepare patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions
- Opportunity to support litigation and transactional practices
Qualifications:
- Washington, Colorado or Minnesota bar admission
- One to three years of patent attorney experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Strong academic performance and writing ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- USPTO admission
Salary:
- Seattle applicants: $205,000 - $235,000 (based on depth of experience)
- Option for lower billable-hours track with proportional salary reduction
- Eligible for Dorsey’s associate bonus program
