Job Responsibilities:
Interns at the organization will engage in a variety of tasks that are contingent upon their availability, experience, and the length of their commitment. Responsibilities for academic-year interns may include:
- Participating in an orientation and learning about the organization's work.
- Observing court proceedings and hearings.
- Conducting client intakes and gathering necessary information.
- Performing smaller research projects.
- Assisting staff with case preparation.
For summer interns or those in longer-term programs, the responsibilities may expand to include:
- Assisting in case work and providing direct service to clients.
- Engaging in more intensive client services and advocacy work.
- Potentially representing clients directly on certain legal matters, depending on experience, skill level, and relevant certifications (such as 3:03).
- Attending additional events, learning opportunities, and training sessions.
Education and Experience Information:
