Job Title: Immigration Attorney (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal Attorney with all immigration cases.
- Practice exclusively Federal Immigration Law.
- Conduct legal research as required.
- Prepare cases for final hearings, including drafting motions and briefs.
- Assist senior paralegals by following up with clients for hearing preparation.
- Review and draft immigration applications.
- Review supporting documents provided by clients and prepare sworn statements as needed.
- Attend immigration hearings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review/Department of Justice (EOIR/DOJ).
- Attend interviews with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Asylum office in Virginia.
- Must be willing to travel to Charlotte to attend hearings in person, although many hearings are conducted via Webex post-COVID.
- Attend check-ins with clients at the . Department of Homeland Security.
Education and Experience Information:
- No specific educational requirements are detailed, but a law degree is generally necessary to practice as an attorney.
- Experience in Federal Immigration Law is critical.
