Healthcare & Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent healthcare providers in state and federal courts as well as administrative proceedings.
- Defend and litigate medical malpractice lawsuits, with a focus on various medical specialties including obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, general practice, pulmonary medicine, nursing, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, genetics testing, radiology, dentistry, and podiatry.
- Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
- Draft and argue motions.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Education and Experience Information:
- Admitted to practice in California.
- At least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience representing healthcare providers in legal settings is preferred.
- Experience in defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
- Strong writing and analytical skills are required.
- Experience in healthcare law is preferred, but candidates with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in healthcare law are also encouraged to apply.
Salary Information:
- Minimum Salary: USD $135, per year.
- Maximum Salary: USD $180, per year.
