Duties:

  • Manage a caseload focused on Ohio workers' compensation defense matters

  • Conduct and defend depositions, interview witnesses, and draft discovery responses

  • Prepare and argue motions and other legal filings

  • Perform in-depth legal research and writing

  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and creative legal solutions

  • Engage in client communications and support business development efforts

  • Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Ohio workers’ compensation law, preferably on the defense side

  • Demonstrated ability to handle discovery, depositions, and motion practice

  • Proven ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision

  • Strong written advocacy and legal analysis skills

  • Proactive mindset focused on practice growth and professional development

  • Comfortable working in a team dynamic and contributing to shared goals

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar (active and in good standing)
