Job Title: Corporate and Business Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Corporate and Business Attorney at the law firm will be responsible for a range of tasks that require a deep understanding of corporate governance and transactional work. The key responsibilities include:
- Executing complex business transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and sales or liquidation of assets.
- Advising clients on joint ventures and business succession planning.
- Handling general corporate and board legal work.
- Advising clients on real estate and land purchase matters, as well as negotiating lease transactions.
- Advising on regulatory compliance and intellectual property issues.
- Facilitating insurance-related legal matters.
- Overseeing the formation and dissolution of legal entities and non-profit organizations.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, including leases, employment agreements, and loan modification documents.
- Advising on litigation and mediation of contract disputes.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Corporate and Business Attorney position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar and must be in good standing.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in corporate and business law, either in a law firm or in-house setting.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to excellent client service.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary Information:
The Corporate and Business Attorney position at the law firm offers a competitive salary range between $160,000 and $210,000 per year. The position is full-time, providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
