Job Title: Associate, Trade & Customs

Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients across various industries to provide advice on trade compliance matters, including import and export issues.
- Lead and manage client projects such as trade compliance audits, reviews, program development, and training.
- Support market development and thought leadership initiatives, including writing articles.
- Conduct research, write, and review advice specifically in export compliance.
- Assist in the management, career development, and training of team members.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:
- Provide leadership to associates and review their work.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of one year of recent work experience, with a strong preference for experience in trade compliance, including . Customs and Border Protection rules, . Harmonized Tariff Code, . customs valuation requirements, and export compliance (EAR and ITAR).
- Bachelor's degree, ., . in taxation, and/or MBA from an accredited college/university.
- Outstanding and in-depth experience with . import and export control regulations, capable of addressing complex matters with practical advice and solutions.
- General export control and sanctions experience, including compliance audits/reviews, voluntary self-disclosures, advisory opinion requests, classification, and developing a trade compliance framework.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Authorization to work in the . without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:
- Minimum of three years of recent direct experience working on engagements involving import and/or export compliance matters.
- United States Customs Broker or CUSECO certification preferred.

Salary Information:
- California Salary Range: $62,200 - $104,000.
- Salary is determined based on relevant factors such as applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
